A Green Heron came to my backyard water feature this morning. Every year one or more come to try to feed on the goldfish. They nest every summer in the tops of the conifer trees in the adjacent city block west of me, or just to the north of me. Sometimes they bring their entire fledged brood to hang out next to this "pool." We have photos of this.
