Three adults and one juvenile observed first at rest on the shoreline and then in the water when disturbed by a runner. Observed from the pulloff opposite 13541 Niagara River Parkway, Niagara Falls. ON. Folded black wing tips were noted as was the grin patch on bill. This species is not really rare this time of the year with numerous sightings reported. Photos taken from the car.
