A large, fat sunbird in a tall, rather leafless tree. Downcurved bill, rather thick. No supercilium. Bright yellow below, olive above. Size, shape, lack of supercillum, and thickness of bill separate from Garden. Female Purple-throated is much smaller, with brownish wings. Seems to be a juvenile.
