Recording for my historical Texas County birding record. This bird was seen by many, was well-documented and accepted by the TBRC. We learned of the stake-out area in the RV park from Texbirds, and walked down from the parking lot at Bentsen-Rio Grande Valley State Park. We stood at the interior end of the RV park entrance road, waiting and watching from a vacant site where the manager had directed us and others. After just a few minutes, the oriole flew over our heads and into the stake-out Coral Bean tree where it was being seen reliably. It called loudly several times. We had good long looks at the yellow/orange and black bird.
