I heard a Vireo singing as I got out of my car. I had assumed it was the Plumbeous Vireo (PLVI) that Tom W had reported recently, but turned out to be a yellower version, sans its Yellow-throated Vireo in tow. Olive green mantle; white tertial edges; yellow wash on the edges of the secondaries; white wing bars; yellow wash on the flanks, sides, and vent on white underparts; gray blends nicely onto its white throat. This particular individual seems to have an incomplete white spectacle, kinda messy on its lores; feathers on the lores seem to be matted down, possibly from something it stuck its bill into. Seems to be a little rough around the edges (literally!), for its tail feathers are a little worn at the edges ... but still a super vocal and happy little dude!! :))
