I'm not sure what else this may be but a juvenile male Red Crossbill. It stood out from the house finches with its streaky white and brown breast. The photo shows a definite crossed bill. It left quickly and did not perch with the house finches. I have submitted the original photo and a brightened photo for clarity. I'm open to corrections of course.
