Found earlier by Zach and Pete, very odd bird seaming to be in transitional plumage with what looked to be a short thick bill. The plumage overall looked more Red-necked along with behavior and posture to my eyes after looking at photos and videos. Watching the bird real time with good light and being pretty close I thought it would be a Red Phalarope because of the short and thick bull that seamed pretty obvious through my scope but was hard to capture with photos. Zane Hostetler, Lance, larry and I were able to see what looked like clean white underwings in flight but I was unable to capture this in videos. As I said watching the bird through our scopes the bill was pretty convincingly short especially since I had experience with an adult non-breeding red phalarope less than a week prior. Along with having very good looks at both adult breeding and prefect plumage juvenile red-necked phalarope this year. In field confidently identified as red by me and competent Mennonite birders but was not able to adequately document with good photos.
