Standing on mudflat on south side of Pond 1W. Seen in the company of three White-faced Ibises, which offered helpful diagnostic comparison. Mature Ibis with blueish facial skin with no hint of pink. Dark eyes, which shone brown when the sun broke through the clouds—especially striking in comparison to eyes of nearby White-faced Ibises, which shone red. Clay colored legs with no visible red or pink. Photo to follow. Please let us know if the photos reveal evidence of a Glossy x White-faced hybrid.
