Totally insane sighting! Amazing spot by Chuck Weber and initial in flight ID photo by Dan S. The bird flew by on the N side of the jetty and while we waited for it to pass out the S side for photos, it never did. We walked down to the end of the pier to see if it landed and the fishermen told us the bird was diving just off the end of the pier. Small alcid, dark top with white underside with small bill and tail. Photos. Lifer!
