**Rare! Nice surprise, expected it to be the Laughing that had been around but dark hood and bold white eye arcs stood out immediately. Foraged lackadaisically on the ground around the main piles before flying around a few times. Disappeared for a few minutes after a bunch of birds put up, but appeared again on piles, where it sat for a while before dropping back to the ground. At 17:32, took off by itself and headed up over treeline and out towards campus, where our alerts allowed others on campus to get it as a flyover. My 8th for the county, but first away from Cayuga Lake. Analysis of feather wear on some of the coverts show this is the same bird that Tim Lenz photographed in Geneva on 3 Oct 2022, which in turn was likely the same bird present around the north end of Seneca Lake since at least 21 Sep 2022.
