Will add photos, recording, and a full description ASAP. This bird was vocalizing throughout much of the morning off and on, but was being quite difficult. Eventually, the bird ended up giving 10-12 songs in total thah sounded like Alder: a full, burry, rising : “rreee” followed by a strident “byooo”. About 8-10 “pik” calls were given, and one or two recorded. The pik was full and quick, much like a Large Contopus. The bird showed a complete, white eye ring, pale lores, and a greenish cap on a relatively rounded head. The bill looked fairly short and deep, with a rounded culmen and no hint of a hook on the tip. The Greater and median secondary coverts were blackish, with broad and crisp off-white edges, similar to the tertials. The primaries extended past the tertials about 2/3 of the length of the tertials, which was slightly but noticable longer than nearby WIFLs. In addition, the tips to the primaries showed pale edges. In comparison to nearby Willow Flycatchers, the bird appeared relatively long winged, short-tailed, short-billed, greener, and more round-headed.
