*** Very Rare Vagrant to the East Coast CT has one prior record for Townsend's Warbler which was found this spring. No prior NH County Records I initially found this bird in the line of pines (Black Pine?) that lies between the main park parking lot and the US Naval Reserve Training Center. I was was able to photograph the bird at close range in this location. The bird then flew across Woodward Ave. Largely with the help of Julian Hough the bird was relocated in the tall spruce trees that surround the picnic shelter on that side of the street. The bird was observed in that location actively feeding by multiple other birders. The bird was a warbler with a bright yellow face and breast. The bird had a distinct dark auricular patch that also surrounded its eyes. The bird had a yellow chin. It had black streaking on its yellow breast. It had two white wing bars. Its back was green. It lacked the yellow patch on the flank seen on BT Green warblers. Photos obtained
