I first detected and identified these birds by their intermittent "preep" calls coming from within the canopy of the dense riparian cottonwood forest. After a few minutes of looking and listening, I saw two birds fly together from one tree to another, where I observed them perched for 30 seconds to a minute before returning to my truck to grab my camera. When I returned with my camera I was only able to relocate one bird and get a couple of poor documentation shots (heavily cropped images attached). These were large Myiarchus flycatchers with fairly dark gray chests, bright yellow bellies, bright rufous tails, and extensive white edging on the tertials. In this habitat and location, GCFL is probably the most expected species of Myiarchus, but vocalizations and overall size/brightness rule out similar, rarer species.
