Male resting peacefully on our deck; snood partially extended, with hair-like feathers on the tip. Not in view, this male is two feet from our sleeping cat. This turkey slept here for hours. When the ground is wet, the wild turkeys like to come onto our wooden deck or shingled roof and snooze. This turkey is also known as a "Rio Grande" or a "Southwestern" turkey. Elevation: 134 m.
