Juvenile perched. According to some literature the juvenile Red-chested Owlet Glaucidium tephronotum is undescribed. Here is a photo of a juvenile of the race pycrafti photographed at Kodmin in the Bakossi Mountains of Cameroon on 27th March 2014. See more photos on my website: http://www.nikborrow.com.
