I watched this bird for a good ten minutes, and saw it from all angles, in pretty good light much of the time. It was 25 feet away, or less, the entire time I observed it. The color of the upperparts was a consistent bronze-gray tone from nape to tip of tail. No rufous anywhere on the tail, no buffy color in the cheeks or eye ring, quite heavily spotted down to mid belly and flanks. Body was held in a straight line at all times when perched, making it seem more attenuated than Hermit or Bicknell's Thrush might be. Never held tail in a cocked position. Base of lower mandible yellowish, but not extensive. So based on all that, I think Bicknell's can likely be ruled out. It did not react at all to a Bicknell's call note when played, but did show a small response to Gray-cheeked, stopping and turning its head from side to side.
