NOTES: Notes on tape: "At the end of that recording, at the end of the loud song, the bird actually flew up out of the crown of the Ohia that it was singing from, backlit by the horizon...flew up into the air, sang a bit, and then dove into some dense vegetation." JN 23 Feb 2006.
