Détails de l'observation
Mary saw the small hawk & pointed it out, we both had perhaps a quarter second of it in our bins as it flew low over the wetlands (seemed like an odd habitat), we saw it for a wing beat & short glide before it was hidden from view by one of the low mounds & shrubs. Mary later found it perched in the willows (?) - we are unsure if it's a Sharp or Coop. Photos are all from a similar angle, legs are not well seen, the tail is partially obscured (my mind sees roundness & wants to say Coop, the tip was not captured in any of my photos). The eye position (more centered) suggests Sharp to me, though my perception of its size leans toward Coop. The crown to nape color seems to suggest Coop. The plumage suggests adult, the pale eye color suggests immature. Another challenge to the growth of a long term beginner: Acc sp.
