Détails de l'observation
This male LTDU apparently came down during the storm and ended up taking refuge in one of the most random places, a loading dock of the building my father works at in downtown Wilkes-Barre. There are no large parking lots or any bodies of water around where the bird was discovered so the reason for its appearance here is even more mystifying. The bird appeared to be in okay physical condition without any injuries, and was therefore successfully released into nearby Harvey's Lake where there is some open water year round. An overall bizarre and perplexing ordeal for a species that is already rare in winter.
