NOTES: (Frequent) (Cyclic wet-dry climate) (Frequent) Cholo Plateau above the Satemwa Tea Plantation (Wet season) (Cyclic wet-dry climate) Remant forest patch at top of mountain. Surrounded by hugh tea plantation at lower elevation. Forest being cut for firewood. Below Cholo Plateau. (Frequent) (Medium dense cover) (Sparse cover). ML: Subject changed from Iduna pallida to Passeriformes sp. based on the recommendation of Marshall Iliff with confirmation from multiple sources. Marshall's notes: Originally reported, as labeled, as Olivaceous Warbler (now presumably Eastern Olivaceous Warbler). However, that would be a new record for Malawi and several European experts confirm that that species' song is eliminated by the recording. While clearly a signing Old World Warbler, those experts did not feel it was safely identifiable, and likely options included Marsh Warbler and Garden Warbler, with habitat (and potential for confusion with Olivaceous) perhaps favoring the latter. Other Behaviors: Advertise. Habitat: Rural.
