Détails de l'observation
id assistance from Regional reviewer, Dan Swatasky is much appreciated. The bird has a black spot in the center of its breast, heavy streaking over a tan wash on the breast and sides. It has a white eye-ring, dark line through the eye and tan on the lores. It has 2 dark stripes over the head, gray between the line through the eye and line over the head. The wings and back have dark brown, tan and gray markings with rufous patches on the wings and tail. The tail feathers had fine white outer edges. The belly and under tail were whitish or very very light gray. The bill was gray and the legs pinkish gray. The bird was scratching on the ground with the White-throated sparrows to get the knotweed (a species related to buckwheat) that had been partly uncovered by a sidewalk snowplow.
