Détails de l'observation
First bird observed @ 0745 heading up the beach east with a 2cy PAJA. Same bird B. Nikula et al had. Photos. Second bird observed @ 1340. Came in from the rip, harassed everything in sight, and made its way eastward. Photos. Third bird observed @ 1511. At this time, I had switched to my scope because the seas were so high, I couldn't see stuff over the rip well. Picked up this bird heading east under powered flight. Watched it make a half stab at a GRSH and got a great look at its upper wing as it splayed out. Similar in molt to the second bird but no gap/notch in flight feathers around P6-8. Cold brown bird, massive eggplant shaped, short stubby tail. I tried some hand held shots and I think I got it as it dipped through a trough. I sprayed the area with photos in hopes of getting it on digits. A photo (?)
