NOTES: Neotropical Institute Cut # 25. Bulk reel: 372. Weather: light cloudy. a) Mild crows, then a flight scream. (The few "crows" made by the bird before I got on it were the first signs of activity. I was in area from 5:00AM) Quality: 1-. Level: 0. Parabola: 36". b) I remained focussed on the bird, hoping for a display but after approximately four minutes it flew to a different place a bit farther away and then a series of "mild crows," also typical chatter. A 2nd bird also heard. About 1/2 of this 4 minute interval appears as Cut 33 of Otus atricap, rest not saved. Quality: 1-2. Level: +5. At end is a long (3 1/2 minute) field note describing what took place, including results of playback, A GOOD FLIGHT RECORDING this came after playback, see comments. recording from 5:25 to 5:45 AM. Also some Ortalis motmot is heard.
