New high count at sunflower seed platform feeder. Counted 1x1. We have been hosting high numbers of purple finches for weeks with more birds showing up weekly. Females with thick white eye stripes and males dark purple/plum into breast and flanks, some first year males in group still showing streaking in sides. Irruption year so not totally unexpected. Have video and photos if needed. Photos and video added at reviewers request.
