Détails de l'observation
Adult male moulting into eclipse. Found by Robin Chittenden, present since 20/6 (from pics). Views not amazing and fairly distant, but size compared to accompanying Tufties (appears paired to female tufty) good for Lesser, nothing jizz-wise suggesting Greater. Head always showing purplish gloss (never green), with peaked crown sometimes evident, but disappearing sometimes with posture. Flanks and mantle in heavy moult into eclipse and with distance factored in it was impossible in the field to assess vermiculitions on the mantle. From photos however, from today and 20th, it is evident that these are rather coarse and consistent with LS. Record to be submitted and assessed, but think it's good.
