I pulled off the road to let several cars pass me and saw 2 large “gull coloured birds, whiteish” flying right towards me, one calling, both looked similar but it was dark. One landed briefly on the top of a tree behind me. I thought that one was the Ferruginous that has been in the area recently. It’s possible there are 2 but I didn’t get a good look at the other. I’ll add poor record photos. I had a distant recording from what I thought was the same bird, but now that I am I back in Canada it appears I deleted that.
