Found this morning by Kevin McKereghan and Tera Freedman at the Cerrito Creek mouth (Alameda/Contra Costa county line, approx) https://ebird.org/checklist/S288172206 Spotted early this afternoon by Ed working the edge of the marsh a hundred or so feet south of the creek. It almost immediately rounded a corner and was not seen for the next hour or so until Ethan called it out when it returned to the creek, where it was seen on both sides. Quick impressions from initial sighting: Dark back with chevrons on white underparts like surfbird, but slenderer (intermediate btwn surf and dunlin structurally), slenderer, slightly tapered and drooping bill. On second, closer viewing could also make out the fine white outlines on the scapulars
