Détails de l'observation
Photo attached. Large cormorant seen alone, initially in the water for about 30 seconds before it took off, circling once and slowly gaining altitude. In flight, the belly of the bird was whiter than the neck/breast. We managed to snap a photo as it flew over our heads, which showed the gray bill, small orange patch under the chin and white gular skin and cheek patch. There was no orange skin around the eyes. The cormorant flew downriver out of sight. This bird was found November 21 further downstream in the lake but has been missing since November 23.
