Détails de l'observation
Counted out loud by ones. So a decent count. Surely far from perfect. Flock was about a half mile long so it made it easier to count. Still with feeding going on likely an undercount by at least 100-200 or more. Photos show the flock when counted (strung out north to south) and also the flock when bunched up more about an hour later. During the count through the scope I was again amazed (same as earlier in the week) how few other species were mixed in. I did notice an unusual bird behind (NE) the flock while counting but I didn't want to lose track so I didn't look closely. Had a cormorant type shape. Could not be found when I went back to look.
