CANGs
Détails de l'observation
The following is my note and photos pertaining to one bird which I thought could qualify as a Cackling but is actually a small Canada. Thanks to Louis Bevier for ID help. -- "Birding from the public pier parking lot and spotted a smaller goose mixed in with a flock of Canadas at the mouth of Mill Brook. Similar to a Canada, but had a much shorter neck; browner breast, and smaller body. Believe this bird is good for a Cackling, but question the bill shape which was rather long and not short and stubby. Body size might be too large? This bird was roughly half to two-thirds the size of the CANGs next to it. Photos:"
