Stocky sparrow with dark gray and brown face, brown crown, brown back, reddish tail, many dark triangular/arrowhead spots on white breast. Relatively pale Sooty type—back too brown for Slate-colored or Thick-billed, bill also too thin for Thick-billed. In brush by bike path at the first 1/4-mile marker west of the park (west of wooden bridge).
