Continuing. In stand of trees just east of lower SE area of Big Laguna Lake, where trails split, 32.879076, -116.459932. Black and light brown barring, yellow belly. Cooperative but was flushed by a hiker and flew north across the trails. Female type, busily foraging. Interesting to watch sort of hop backwards down the tree. Photo.
