Détails de l'observation
4 teals were lined up close to each other on the north bank of Ballona Cr. across from the McConnell St. entrance to the bike. I would call the two in the first photo that is less zoomed Blue-winged and the two in the second, more zoomed photo as Green-winged Teals. The first two seem to have some Blue-winged characteristics of more pronounced eye-arcs for the female, some iridescence on the tertials and the male signs of a crescent and yellowish legs. The female of the 2nd two seems to show a hint of a buffy streak near the tail and only a faint eyering, both lack iridescence on the tertials and the leg color is more grayish than the male in the first photo. However, instead of being called wrong, I will let ebird make the call.
