Détails de l'observation
**Very rare; pair last year makes up the bulk of the eBird sightings and the last record before then was 2016. Sweet find by Jason on the Shorebird Crew on Sakegeak St. Stunning near full-alternate adult, with brick red plumage across the head, back, wings, and chest, but cutting off dramatically at the stomach. Long, droopy beak. White stomach & UTCs and frosty edging to contour feathers are indicative of active molt (hopefully into full alt plumage). Watched very briefly at close range right before dinner began, and though we hoped to see it after dinner, it had other plans and disappeared into the unknown before we could return. Very nice treat on top of the plethora of other shorebirds is far! Photos to come
