Détails de l'observation
MEGA! Intermediate juveniles (siblings?!) on the west side of the lake. Dark gull-like seabirds with a short bi-colored bills, heavily patterned backs, and slightly lighter-colored and rounded heads. Not dark enough to be any other Jaeger. NE Year #334, Lancaster #267! Will be the 14th state record. They seemed to mostly be resting, not actively foraging. They flew up once or twice but eventually resettled. One was seen preening briefly. Per other birders, they soared high up and headed southwest around 3:50pm. Perhaps they decided to move on to their winter vacation spot in Baja.
