Reed beds on both sides of the road at the crossing and the reed beds continue along the west side of the road for about 150 meters. I used playback for Spotless Crake and Lewin’s Rail about every 50 meters walking along the road and then facing east at the creek crossing. I had 4 Spotless Crakes reply on the west side of the road along the 150 meter stretch of reeds and then 2 more calling together on the east side of the road.
