Tiny chick at roadside, still capture from iPhone video

I was glad for no cars behind me when I spotted this bird on the road. It was the first I've ever seen, so I wasn't even sure what it was, standing there like a small, proud chicken. I hurriedly stuck my phone out the window and got 8 seconds of video as it passed in front of my car and disappeared around the side. It was performing a distraction display: tail fanned, wing dropped, ruff erect. It wasn't until after it disappeared around the side of my car that I spotted the tiny chick right at the edge of the road, just as I also spotted a car coming up in my rear view and I had to get moving. I fervently hoped they would be scared by these passing cars and get away from the road.
