Détails de l'observation
Continuing first winter and/or female type first found by Trevor Sleight on 9/24 and amazingly still here today! Continuing at first light this morning in the Buncombe County side of its little patch where it has been regular at exact coordinates: Decimal Degrees (WGS84) - 35.718186, -82.279742 GPS - N 35 43.091 W 82 16.785 - - - Arrived while still too dark to see Kirtland's Warblers, as soon as it got light enough to see well headed over to the area of the stop sign at the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance to Mount Mitchell State Park with Trevor Sleight. Just before 7:30 I picked up the bird foraging around in the scrubby area where it has been reliable, constantly pumping its tail so that the tail was hardly ever in focus. Kirtland's observed and videoed between 7:25-7:55am. - - - Life Bird and #471 for the southeasternmost 7 states plus Louisiana east of the Mississippi River (although 500 still seems pretty far away)! Thanks again North Carolina! ============================================================= Flickr embedded video 1 Flickr embedded video 2 Flickr embedded video 3 Flickr embedded video 4 Flickr embedded video 5 ============================================================= Handheld phonescoped video still frames:
