Détails de l'observation
Unusual sighting. Walk this manmade small lake the last 3 years from April to Nov and haven’t seen one here. First time walked by in a week though so unsure how long it was there. Passed by on entry to park and we didn’t see it (would be hard to miss) there, but 20 mins later was there at 3:10pm today Sat, May 25/24. Lone male duck, dipping and eating, no sound, rich rust/cinnamon/chestnut body, turquoise bill, white cheeks, upright pintail stood out. Normally see Canada Geese, Mallards, Coots and gulls and American Pelicans and occasional other species. Mostly Canada Geese and Mallards and babies today. We were 30 feet from it. It was on west edge of lake north of boat launch pad 15 feet,
