Wing noise as a group of Turkey Vultures landed close to the house. Other species: Eastern Chipmunk.
Détails de l'observation
Flew in and perched in the rear feeder area, very close to the house. One landed, twice, on the back deck railing, and another atop the hanging bark butter log. The one on the railing hissed a few times. Their purpose was unclear. It looked like they might be thinking about visiting the water dish on the deck, but they didn't. Maybe they're picking up on a dead animal whose odor we are not catching. Alternatively, it's an omen, and we're going to die soon.
