NOTES: (1) "chip" call note (wind in Aspens) (2) An unususal song series, more complete than the standard song. Perhaps this has something to do with the premature loss of first brood and start of 2nd nesting. [This recording combines Simple and Chatter Vocalizations with the song of the species, the latter including both types of Regularly Repeated Vocalizations (RRVs; see Smith, W. J. 1969. Displays of Sayornis phoebe (Aves, Tyrannidae). Behaviour 33:283-322). The first part of the recording contains 18 "chip" calls or Simple Vocalizations. The second part of the recording alternates between Chatter Vocalizations (CVs) and RRV1s (with 25 examples of the latter). The gain for most of the Chatter Vocalizations is low, but the calls at 3:265-3:345 are good. Quality changed from 2 to 2, 2-1 (BEST part is at 1:34-1:53, unfortunately all RRVs) - CAM - 14 April 2005].
