Détails de l'observation
One odd bird seen in the pepper trees at Springvale with two TOWA. Immediately noticed, just like in 2022, that one of the “TOWA” appeared ghostly pale. At that point I didn’t really think much of it, but tracked it down anyway. I was very surprised after taking a few pics to see that the rear end of the yellow eyebrow stripe was distinctly white. However other than that, and the fact that it was pale, it didn’t seem off for a Townsend’s. Definitely leaning more towards a TOWA with a pigment issue than a hybrid on this one. Photos to add. At least 4 others elsewhere around Springvale, much higher numbers than the past few weeks.
