Détails de l'observation
These guys don't usually stay put or stay quiet. I guess you might say that this was a Blue Jay Lek that I happened upon. I came upon them in a little clump of trees and bushes at Diamond Hill Park in Warman on 4th Street. There was a Merlin giving it's territorial call and at first I thought they were freezing to avoid being attacked by the Merlin. They were both sitting prone on the ground with their tail feathers spread out, which was definitely unusual to see. Then since they stuck around I figured I was intruding on a moment.
