Détails de l'observation
We heard a bird flush - and spoke about it possibly being a dove of some kind - as that's what it sounded like. Then we spotted the male hurrying across the adjacent private road. It hid among a pile of sticks, before flushing to a tree where we got a reasonable photo of him before he flew off down the hill. We then spoke - suggesting it had been the female that had first flushed. Shortly after, we could here a VERY high pitched call, and we spoke about it perhaps being the female. We waited in situ for about 5 minutes - hearing the high pitched call intermittently. Eventually we located her, near the edge of the road a short distance from where we were standing - and with patience we managed a few obscured pics of her too.
