Détails de l'observation
Bright, tan warbler with crisp black streaks on face and slightly darker back and wings. Initially seen out in the open about a foot off the ground at the base of a large cottonwood tree near 32.1104561, -104.4635141, with the bird usually staying quite low to the ground. Silent as far as I could tell (although I have a photo of it calling) and relatively difficult to view after it first popped out, but generally sticking with a small mixed group of Wilson’s/Yellow/Orange-crowned warblers. I checked again about an hour and a half after initially seeing the bird and it was still there in an adjacent willow, although now very difficult to see through the undergrowth. Photos, and a lifer for me - absolutely not what I expected to see here today! Details submitted to NMOS records committee
