Détails de l'observation
*Updated later.. Uncertain ID. Approx. Cardinal-sized yellow bird zipped past me. Parked himself on a limb for a moment, and was gone, through the trees, at around eye level. Only saw his yellow back, dark yellowish-brown back of head/nape, white flash on wing, black tail. Did not seem like typical goldfinch lemon yellow, nor was it quite so small. Merlin picked up an EVGR. After much review, I decided the ID is too significant for any uncertainty, and I can't be certain it wasn't even another finch. Spent some time looking for it, to no further avail. I believed it was a type 1 or 2 flight call for EVGR. I didn't notice him calling while I was walking--and rustling away any decent audio--and I think I ended up with just one audible (barely) flight call. Will put here anyway, but maybe spectrogram is better illustration.. No one else around seemed to see him.
