this cut starts with EUCD song, then two 'meeps' of Hooded Oriole (in the same flock), and then the song of OROR (the one photographed) plus oriole chatter, and ends as CAGO flies over
Détails de l'observation
at least two in the mixed flock of orioles in the thick riparian at northwest corner of the lake; lots of 'chatter' among the group of at least 3 orioles. One long-tailed female was a Hooded Oriole, often giving "meep" calls and engaging in soft chatter (photo'd). The other two were short-tailed and smaller, and possibly two males (antagonistic interaction permitted size evaluation); one male was in body molt and photographed, and (presumably) it was the singer in the group, as a song was given various times (taped) and matched OROR song in later comparison. It is possible yet another yellow-green oriole was in the flock. All of the flock -- be it 3 or 4 -- spent most time 'buried' deep in thick trees or willow understory, but one could tell they were there by the chatter.
