Détails de l'observation
Only "discovered" well after the fact while checking photos. An apparently dark skua with very little white in the primaries (at least on the upperwing). Difficult to see much color, but appeared capped in some photos. Three sets of photos involving a minimum of 2 individuals: A, B, C. A was about 15 min before B, and C was about 15 min after B. A and C have different wing wear, so clearly different individuals, but not sure if B is either A or C? These all look like contenders for South Polar Skua to me, but the birds didn't strike me as unusual at the time (unsurprising, given the difficulty of seeing color in the lighting, and the difficulty of taking photos or concentrating on viewing with the movement of the sea).
