Détails de l'observation
Five migrating flocks between 13:30-14:00 local time, the total being a rather conservative figure (photo analysis). A first large formation of about 600 individuals at 13:30 was followed by two flocks of about 140-160 individuals each; a fourth large formation in the range of 350-400 flew past before another 150 individuals finished the show at about 14:00 local time. Except for the second of the two large flocks which flew along the estern shore (probably just east of the circular road), all were migrating along the western shore of the smaller basin (observation point) and headed north towards Patara Lilo/Kvishiani. Except for a good third of the first large formation which briefly circled above the basin (before making up with the others loudly calling) all flocks flew directly and straight northwards.
