Détails de l'observation
At least 30 CANG were local in the marsh proper. At about sunset, (7:29 PM) there were a number of sequential flocks of geese that flew towards the north (Stafford bridge) direction that continued until about 8:00 PM. At 8:00 PM, it was too dark to see these flocks which were streaming one behind the other, about 1 KM away, but we could still hear them. Several flocks flew directly over the marsh, heading in the same northerly direction. This was a very conservative estimate. Two CANG flew from the open fields overhead and landed in the marsh to join about 5 CANG on the ice. This was recorded on segment one of the recording. Segment two of the recording was from 2 CANG calling from the treed edge of the Micksburg side of the marsh.
